She trained as an actor at the Munich Film Academy.

Katrin Lion is represented by the ZAV - Munich for theater and film/television.

​

She made her acting debut as the maid Babet in Fedeau's comedy "How to hunt rabbits" at the Stadtebundtheater in Hof. From that point on she worked there for 5 years, in the choir (mezzo voice) and as a guest actress, e.g. in Goethe's Reinecke Fuchs, Les Miserables, Der Freischütz, Cavalleria Rusticana, Die Fledermaus, Carmina Burana...

At the renowned Luisenburg Festival  stood Katrin Lion 3 years as an actress and singer on stage, played  at the side of Günter Mack, Rainhard Fendrich, Wolfgang Ambros and Stefan Lehmann (Antenna Bavaria), e.g. in  Anatevka, the woman from Bernau, Schiller's robbers and the cult rustic item "The Watzmann calls".

Wolfgang Ambros hired her from there for his forthcoming tour, as a maid, Queen d. Walpurgis Night in "Der Watzmann" is calling. The Germany and Austria tour followed with the two Austropop legends Wolfgang Ambros (Skiforn) and Klaus Eberhartinger (EAV, Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung).

You can see her in the role of Kathrin Weiss in the feature film "Final Picture" (nuclear war drama). won the Special Jury Award at the Germany International Film Festival in Munich and the Yellow Oscar, Uranium Film Festival, Rio de Janeiro.

Katrin Lion acts in short films and film/television productions in the pre-evening program on Sat.1 and VOX.

In 2016 she was seen as the tough-masculine pirate bride Mary Read in "Die Schatzinsel" at the Landestheater Coburg.

​

As the graceful Pamina, she was seen in "A Little Magic Flute" at the Freie Bühne Bayreuth. It was followed by "The Local Railway",  with the role of Susanna at the Romantikbühne Bad Berneck.
